How to publish this Sample Website
A website is a set of files which can be accessed using a web browser like Internet Explorer or Mozilla. It's normal to preview your website locally (i.e. on your own computer) before publishing it onto the internet where everyone can see it.
Publishing the website on your computer
To publish the current website on your computer, use menu Publishing > Publish/Update website (F9).
Press New to create a new Publishing Configuration. Chose a folder on your hard disk.
Publishing the website on the Internet
To publish your own website on a remote web server (i.e. onto the internet), you have to register with a website hosting provider (some providers host for free). When you have registered with one, they will provide you with the details needed to publish your website (for more details, see the online help). These are:
- The server’s FTP address.
- Your website hosting login and the password.
- The URL through which you access your website (once published) and the name of the home page.
- You can optionally have a default directory to publish your pages to.
You will have to write this information in the properties window of the Publishing Configuration:
