Introducing ThunderSite Template Creator

Now you can make your own original website templates using this powerful tool. Go ahead and try the ThunderSite Template Creator: go to the menu Template > New... and see for yourself how easy it is.

Once you have followed the step-by-step process to create a new template, you can apply it to your website by going back to the Template menu and selecting Switch... Then select the newly created template from the list of available website templates.

Two minute guide

There are six steps to creating a custom website template for ThunderSite. Each step is explained in a helpful box in the top right of the window (marked 1 on the image above).

Use the "Next" and "Back" buttons at the bottom of the window to navigate back and forth through the steps (marked 2).

The main part of your window displays your work in progress (marked 3).

The panel to the right of the main area is where most of the magic is done. It changes depending on which of the six steps you are on. On step one (as in the image below) you will find a list of templates to begin working from. Select the one you want to use by double-clicking on it. Then click the "Next" button to continue.

The menu and button area marked 4 in the image below is where advanced functions are to be found. Quickly change tints, tones, sizes and shapes as you please.

Once you have passed through all five steps leading to the sixth step, you can export your new website template by clicking on the "Export" button at the bottom of the window. A smaller window will appear where the color and size of the text and links in your website can be defined. Thereafter you just need to click the "OK" button, and finally, give your website template a name.
